Completing an Inspection
Completing an inspection in uAuditor finalizes checklist responses and generates an inspection report that reflects operational performance, detected issues, and supporting evidence.
Once an inspection is completed, its status is updated and results become available for supervisors, reports, analytics, and corrective action workflows.
When an Inspection Can Be Completed
An inspection can be completed after:
- all required questions are answered
- required media attachments are uploaded (if configured)
- validation rules are satisfied
- mandatory selections such as location or assets are confirmed
If any required inputs are missing, the system prevents submission until they are completed.
How to Complete an Inspection
To complete an inspection:
- Review all checklist responses
- Confirm required questions are answered
- Upload required evidence where needed
- Tap or click Complete Inspection
- Confirm submission
The inspection status will immediately update after completion.
What Happens After Completing an Inspection
Once an inspection is completed:
- the inspection becomes a report
- the inspection score is calculated automatically
- failed items are recorded
- supporting evidence is saved
- corrective actions may be created automatically (if configured)
- the inspection status changes to Passed or Completed with Failures
This ensures inspection outcomes are immediately available for review.
Inspection Status After Completion
After submission, inspections appear with one of the following results:
Completed (Passed)
All checklist responses meet the expected standards.
Completed (With Failures)
One or more checklist responses indicate non-compliance or issues that require follow-up.
These statuses help managers prioritize corrective actions.
Completing Inspections Linked to Tasks
If an inspection is created from a scheduled task:
- completing the inspection updates the task status automatically
- the task becomes Completed or Completed Late
- the inspection remains linked to the task record
This ensures scheduled inspection tracking remains accurate.
Reviewing Responses Before Submission
Before completing an inspection, it is recommended to:
- verify numeric readings
- confirm selected locations and assets
- attach required media

- ensure instructions were followed correctly
Careful review improves reporting accuracy.
When an Inspection Cannot Be Completed

- required questions are unanswered

- validation rules are not satisfied
- mandatory fields are incomplete
The system highlights missing inputs so they can be corrected.
Best Practices for Completing Inspections
To ensure reliable inspection results:
- complete inspections immediately after performing checks
