Starting an Inspection
Starting an inspection in uAuditor allows users to begin evaluating operations, safety conditions, equipment status, or compliance requirements using predefined checklist templates.
Inspections can be started from multiple areas of the platform depending on how your organization assigns inspection responsibilities.
Ways to Start an Inspection
You can start an inspection in several ways:
- from the Dashboard quick actions
- from the Inspections module
- from assigned Tasks
- from the Templates list
- by scanning a template QR code (mobile app)
The available options depend on your role and permissions.
Starting an Inspection from the Dashboard
To start an inspection from the Dashboard:
- Open the Dashboard
- Click Create Inspection
- Select a template
- Choose the location (if required)
- Select equipment or assets if applicable
- Begin answering checklist questions
This is the fastest method for manual inspections.
Starting an Inspection from the Inspections Module
To begin an inspection from the Inspections page:
- Go to Inspections
- Click Create Inspection
- Select the appropriate template
- Choose the inspection location
- Select equipment if required
- Start completing the checklist
This method is commonly used when managing multiple inspections.
Starting an Inspection from Tasks
Scheduled inspections appear automatically in the Tasks module.
To start an inspection from a task:
- Open Tasks
- Locate the assigned inspection
- Click Start Inspection
- Complete the checklist
The inspection will be automatically linked to the task.
Starting an Inspection Using a QR Code
Templates can generate QR codes that allow inspectors to start inspections instantly from the mobile app.
To start an inspection using a QR code:
- Open the uAuditor mobile app
- Tap the QR scanner
- Scan the template QR code
- The inspection opens automatically
- Begin answering checklist questions
This method is ideal for equipment-based or location-based inspections.
Selecting the Correct Template Before Starting
