Site Selection Questions
Site selection questions in uAuditor allow inspectors to choose a location (branch or site) from the organization’s predefined locations list during an inspection. This ensures inspections are correctly linked to the appropriate operational site.
Site selection questions are commonly used to identify where an inspection is performed when templates are shared across multiple branches.
What Are Site Selection Questions?
A site selection question allows inspectors to select a location from a dynamic list of configured branches inside the account.
These locations are managed in:
Settings → Locations
The selected site becomes part of the inspection record and is used for filtering, reporting, and analytics.
Why Use Site Selection Questions
Site selection questions help organizations:
- assign inspections to the correct branch
- support location-based reporting
- improve inspection traceability
- enable branch-level performance tracking
- simplify multi-location inspection workflows
- standardize inspections across distributed teams
They ensure inspection data is properly structured across locations.
When to Use Site Selection Questions
Site selection questions are especially useful when:
- inspectors work across multiple branches
- templates are shared between locations
- inspections are not restricted to a single site
- mobile inspectors visit different facilities
- location-specific reporting is required
- centralized inspection workflows are used
They help ensure inspections are accurately linked to operational sites.
How to Add a Site Selection Question
To add a site selection question to a template:
- Open the Templates module
- Select the required template
- Open the target Page
- Select the appropriate Section
- Click Add Question
- Enter the question title
- Select Site as the response type
- Save the question
Inspectors will then be able to select a location from the predefined list during inspections.
Example Use Cases for Site Selection Questions
Organizations commonly use site selection questions for:
- Multi-Branch Inspections
- Example: “Select the branch where this inspection is being performed.”
- Field Operations
- Example: “Choose the site visited during this service check.”
- Regional Compliance Monitoring
- Example: “Select the location covered by this compliance inspection.”
These selections ensure inspections are correctly categorized by location.
How Site Selection Affects Reporting
When a site is selected during inspection:
- the inspection is linked to the selected location
- location-based dashboards update automatically
- performance metrics reflect branch activity
- filters can be applied by location in reports
- corrective actions can be tracked per site
This improves operational visibility across branches.
Best Practices for Using Site Selection Questions
To configure site selection questions effectively:
- place the question at the beginning of inspections
- ensure location names are clearly defined in settings
- avoid duplicating location capture if already predefined
- use consistent naming across branches
- review location-linked reports regularly
Site selection questions help organizations maintain accurate branch-level inspection tracking and improve visibility across distributed operational environments.
