Weekly Schedules
Weekly schedules in uAuditor allow organizations to automatically assign inspection tasks on selected weekdays at a defined time. This helps ensure recurring inspections are completed consistently without manual coordination.
Weekly scheduling is ideal for inspections that do not need to occur daily but must follow a structured routine across locations.
When to Use Weekly Schedules
Weekly schedules are commonly used for inspections that follow periodic operational review cycles.
Typical examples include:
- branch condition walkthroughs
- supervisor verification checklists
- compliance inspections
- equipment status reviews
- sanitation deep checks
- safety environment inspections
Using weekly schedules ensures regular oversight while reducing unnecessary inspection repetition.
How Weekly Schedules Work
When a weekly schedule is configured:
- one or more weekdays are selected
- an assignment time is defined
- inspection tasks are generated automatically each week
- assigned inspectors receive tasks in the Tasks module
- inspections must be completed within the configured grace period
Each generated task follows the same template structure.
Selecting Weekdays for Inspection Tasks
Weekly schedules allow selecting one or multiple weekdays depending on operational needs.
For example:
- every Monday for branch readiness checks
- every Sunday and Wednesday for compliance verification
- every Friday for equipment inspection routines
Multiple-day scheduling helps distribute inspection responsibilities across the week.
Setting the Assignment Time
The assignment time determines when inspection tasks appear for inspectors.
For example:
- a schedule set for Monday at 9:00 AM creates a task each Monday at that time
- inspectors can begin inspections immediately after assignment
- notifications are triggered at the assignment time if enabled
Selecting the correct time improves inspection completion consistency.
Managing Missed Weekly Inspections
If an inspection is not completed within the defined grace period:
- the task status changes to Missed
- supervisors can review completion performance
- follow-up actions can be taken when necessary
Monitoring missed inspections helps maintain accountability across teams.
Updating Weekly Schedules
Weekly schedules can be modified at any time.
You can update:
- selected weekdays
- assignment time
- assigned inspectors
- inspection template
- grace period
- notification settings
Updates apply only to future generated inspection tasks.
Best Practices for Configuring Weekly Schedules
To configure effective weekly schedules:
- align inspection days with supervisor availability
- avoid scheduling multiple inspections at the same time unnecessarily
- distribute inspections evenly across the week
- enable notifications for critical inspections
- review completion performance regularly
Weekly schedules help maintain structured operational monitoring across locations while keeping inspection workloads balanced.
