Completion Permissions
Completion Permissions in uAuditor allow administrators to control who is allowed to mark actions as completed. This ensures corrective tasks are verified by the appropriate users and helps maintain accountability across operational workflows.
Configuring completion permissions correctly prevents actions from being closed without proper validation.
What Are Completion Permissions?
Completion permissions define which users can change an action’s status to Completed.
Organizations can control completion authority based on:
- organizational visibility
- location responsibility
- collaboration involvement
- reporting ownership
This ensures corrective actions are finalized only by authorized users.
Available Completion Permission Options
uAuditor provides flexible options for controlling who can complete actions.
All Users
When All Users is selected:
- any permitted user who can access the action can mark it as completed
- supervisors can close actions quickly when issues are resolved
- collaboration across teams becomes easier
This option is useful for shared operational environments.
Location-Based Users
When Location-Based completion is selected:
- only users assigned to the same location can complete the action
- location managers maintain control over branch-level corrections
- cross-location completion is restricted
This option is recommended for multi-branch organizations.
Collaborators Only
When Collaborators Only is selected:
- only the action creator
- the assigned user
- watchers (if permitted)
can complete the action.
This ensures only directly involved users finalize corrective tasks.
Reporter Only
When Reporter Only is selected:
- only the user who created the action can mark it as completed
This setting is useful when actions require confirmation from the original requester before closure.
Why Completion Permissions Matter
Configuring completion permissions helps organizations:
- ensure corrective actions are properly verified
- prevent premature task closure
- maintain structured approval workflows
- improve compliance tracking
- strengthen accountability across teams
Clear completion rules improve trust in corrective action reporting.
How to Configure Completion Permissions
To configure completion permissions:
- Open the Actions module
- Go to Action Configuration
- Locate Completion Permissions
- Select the preferred completion level
- Save the configuration
The selected setting applies to newly created actions.
Impact on Action Workflows
Completion permissions affect how actions move through their lifecycle.
For example:
- stricter permissions increase verification accuracy
- broader permissions increase operational speed
- reporter-only completion improves validation control
Organizations should select the option that matches their governance requirements.
Best Practices for Configuring Completion Permissions
To configure completion permissions effectively:
- allow location-based completion for branch operations
- restrict completion for compliance-related actions
- use collaborator-only completion for sensitive issues
- assign reporter-only completion when verification is required
- review permissions regularly as workflows evolve
Proper completion permission settings ensure corrective actions are resolved by the right users and remain aligned with organizational quality standards.
