Setting Inspection Intervals
Inspection intervals in uAuditor define how often recurring inspection tasks are automatically created for assigned inspectors. Choosing the correct interval ensures inspections happen consistently and align with operational routines across locations.
Intervals are configured when creating or editing an inspection schedule and apply only to future generated tasks.
Available Inspection Interval Types
uAuditor supports several scheduling interval options to match different operational needs:
- Daily
- Creates inspection tasks every day at a specified time.
- Weekly
- Creates inspection tasks on selected weekdays at a specified time.
- Monthly
- Creates inspection tasks on a selected day number each month.
- Yearly
- Creates inspection tasks on a specific date each year.
- Custom
- Creates inspection tasks on selected weekdays with flexible timing.
Selecting the correct interval helps maintain consistent inspection coverage.
Setting a Daily Interval
A daily interval is suitable for inspections that must be performed every working day.
When configuring a daily interval:
- select the start time
- tasks are generated once every 24 hours
- inspectors receive recurring assignments automatically
Daily schedules are commonly used for hygiene, safety, and opening or closing procedures.
Setting a Weekly Interval
A weekly interval allows inspections to run on specific weekdays.
When configuring a weekly interval:
- select one or more weekdays
- define the assignment time
- tasks repeat every week on the selected days
This interval is useful for routine operational reviews and periodic compliance checks.
Setting a Monthly Interval
A monthly interval assigns inspections on a specific day of the month.
When configuring a monthly interval:
- select the day number (for example, the 1st or 15th)
- define the assignment time
- tasks repeat monthly on the selected date
Monthly intervals are commonly used for equipment checks and performance reviews.
Setting a Yearly Interval
A yearly interval assigns inspections once per year on a selected date.
When configuring a yearly interval:
- select the month
- select the day
- define the assignment time
Yearly schedules are typically used for certification checks or annual compliance audits.
Setting a Custom Interval
A custom interval allows more flexible scheduling by selecting specific weekdays.
When configuring a custom interval:
- choose one or more weekdays
- define the assignment time for each selected day
- tasks repeat weekly on the selected configuration
Custom scheduling supports complex operational routines across locations.
How Assignment Time Affects Intervals
The assignment time determines when inspection tasks appear in the Tasks module.
For example:
- a task scheduled at 9:00 AM becomes available at that time
- notifications are triggered based on this assignment time if enabled
- inspectors can begin the inspection immediately after assignment
Setting the correct time helps align inspections with working hours.
Updating Inspection Intervals
Inspection intervals can be updated at any time by editing the schedule.
After updating an interval:
- future tasks follow the new timing
- existing tasks remain unchanged
- completed inspections are not affected
This allows schedules to adapt as operational needs change.
Best Practices for Setting Inspection Intervals
To configure effective inspection intervals:
- match inspection timing with operational workflows
- avoid scheduling inspections outside working hours
- choose realistic frequencies for inspectors
- review missed inspections regularly
- adjust intervals as responsibilities evolve
Well-configured intervals help maintain consistent inspection execution across your organization.
