# Assignment Permissions

# **Assignment Permissions**

Assignment Permissions in uAuditor allow administrators to control who can be assigned to actions. This ensures corrective tasks are directed to the appropriate users based on organizational structure, location responsibility, and collaboration scope.

Proper assignment control helps maintain accountability and prevents actions from being assigned to unrelated users.

## **What Are Assignment Permissions?**

Assignment permissions determine which users appear as selectable assignees when creating or editing an action.

Organizations can restrict assignment based on:

- organization-wide access
- location responsibility
- collaboration involvement

This ensures actions are assigned only to relevant users.

## **Available Assignment Permission Options**

uAuditor provides flexible options for controlling who can be assigned to actions.

### **All Users**

When All Users is selected:

- actions can be assigned to any user in the account
- administrators can distribute tasks across locations
- supervisors can coordinate corrective work centrally

This option supports cross-location coordination.

### **Location-Based Users**

When Location-Based assignment is selected:

- actions can only be assigned to users within the same location
- branch-level accountability is maintained
- assignment errors across locations are reduced

This option is recommended for multi-branch operational structures.

### **Collaborators Only**

When Collaborators Only is selected:

- only users directly involved in the action workflow can be assigned
- assignment is limited to relevant participants
- corrective workflows remain focused and controlled

This option is useful for sensitive or restricted operational tasks.

## **Why Assignment Permissions Matter**

Configuring assignment permissions helps organizations:

- ensure actions reach the correct responsible users
- prevent incorrect task assignments
- maintain location-based accountability
- protect operational workflow structure
- improve resolution efficiency across teams

Clear assignment control strengthens corrective action management.

## **How to Configure Assignment Permissions**

To configure assignment permissions:

1. Open the Actions module
2. Go to Action Configuration
3. Locate Assignment Permissions
4. Select the preferred assignment level
5. Save the configuration

The selected setting applies to newly created actions.

## **Impact on Action Creation**

Assignment permission settings affect:

- which users appear in the assignee selection list
- how corrective tasks are distributed across locations
- collaboration flexibility between teams
- administrative oversight of corrective workflows

Organizations should choose assignment rules that match their operational structure.

## **Best Practices for Configuring Assignment Permissions**

To configure assignment permissions effectively:

- use location-based assignment for branch-level operations
- allow organization-wide assignment for centralized management teams
- restrict assignment for sensitive corrective workflows
- review assignment permissions regularly as teams expand
- align assignment settings with role-based access policies

Proper assignment permission configuration ensures corrective actions are directed to the right users and completed efficiently across the organization.
